Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or MBA a plus.
• 5 years of sales/business development experience in Life Sciences, Biotech, Medical Device, Diagnostic Equipment, or Pharmaceutical industries.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proven ability to introduce transformational, novel products to physicians and hospitals.
• Strong network of relationships across hospitals and health systems, labs, executives, and administrators.
• Vision and planning capabilities to grow the territory.
• Excellent business acumen with analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to develop relationships from C-level to physicians and lab directors.
• Track record of top sales achievement and multi-level account management.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales revenue and test volume in the defined territory by acquiring new hospital accounts and expanding existing ones.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, and Marketing to reach territory goals.
• Develop thought leaders and early adopters of the diagnostic approach.
• Help establish a world-class commercial organization culture.
• Manage a regional hospital and health system account base.
• Prioritize and segment hospital and health system accounts to maximize opportunity.
• Present product features to stakeholders, qualify leads, support evaluations, and drive adoption.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the Karius test and technology.
• Build relationships and educate stakeholders to drive consensus and ROI.
• Secure contracts and renewals where applicable and manage agreements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product for market feedback.
• Partner with Clinical/Medical Affairs teams to support partner interactions.
• Coordinate with Customer Success to onboard accounts and maintain health of partnerships.
• Identify regional meeting opportunities and KOL panels with Marketing.
• Participate in sales meetings, training, and industry events.
• Complete paperwork accurately in Salesforce and related systems.
