Job summary

MES Solutions is seeking a self-driven RN or LPN to join as Clinical Quality Assurance Coordinator. You will review peer review reports, ensure evidence-based rationales, and maintain client-aligned compliance across regulatory standards and state/federal mandates.

The role is 100% remote with a Monday–Friday schedule (some weekends/holidays). Requires strong clinical knowledge, meticulous reporting, and top-tier communication to support quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN/LPN nursing license required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or related medical experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years clinical or related field experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medications and laboratory values.
• Ability to perform basic math with decimals and rates.
• Typist with minimum 40 WPM and proficient computer use.
• Proficient with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
• Must follow instructions and align with management directions.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA review of peer review reports and related documents.
• Provide evidence-based rationales for recommendations and determinations.
• Ensure compliance with client instructions, specifications, and state/federal mandates.
• Verify references are current and sourced from reputable journals.
• Maintain high quality content, format, and professional appearance of reports.
• Ensure board specialty review aligns with client specifications and mandates.
• Verify reviewer qualification and absence of conflicts of interest.
• Coordinate with Peer Reviewer to resolve inconsistencies.
• Assist in resolving customer complaints and QA issues as needed.
• Ensure ERISA and state mandates compliance at all times.
• Provide management with insights on consultant quality and policy compliance.
• Promote efficient use of company resources and participate in training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
