Job summary

Avēsis is seeking a Claims Supervisor to lead our Claims staff and optimize processing workflows across time zones. You will ensure accurate adjudication, meet contractual timelines, and support audits and reporting.

This remote role requires strong knowledge of CPT/HCPC coding, Medicare/Medicaid terminology, and a track record of improving operational performance while mentoring a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of claim processing experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Commercial terminology.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/Adobe).
• Ability to work flexible hours across time zones.
• Remote role requires reliable internet connection.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Claims staff, processing workflows, queue management and performance reviews.
• Ensure timely, accurate processing within contractual/regulatory time frames.
• Train, mentor and guide staff; set expectations and objectives.
• Lead team meetings; communicate policies, audits and procedures.
• Identify improvement opportunities; conduct root cause analyses.
• Support internal/external audits and reporting; maintain SOPs.
