Job summary

Allied Benefit Systems is seeking a Supervisor of Claims Processing to lead a remote team responsible for timely, accurate, and compliant claims handling. You will monitor inventory and quality, provide coaching, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve escalated issues while ensuring adherence to HIPAA/HITECH and plan documents.

The role emphasizes team leadership, process improvement, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment with remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of medical claims analysis and adjudication experience required.
• Demonstrated leadership potential with ability to lead, coach, motivate and develop team members.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, COB, medical terminology and claims processing requirements.
• Ability to monitor productivity and quality results and use data to identify trends and provide solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to provide timely feedback.
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential, escalated matters with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily inventory, productivity, and quality reports to ensure timely processing in line with SLAs.
• Assign, prioritize, and balance work across team members to meet goals.
• Review claim handling trends and support process improvements.
• Provide guidance for complex or escalated claims and escalated reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve escalated client/broker/provider/member concerns.
• Support new client/product implementations ensuring team readiness.
• Assist with audit preparation and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
• Promote HIPAA/HITECH compliance and security standards.
• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop staff; conduct 1:1 meetings and performance reviews.
• Communicate expectations and provide training and resources.
