The role emphasizes coverage interpretation, collaboration with outside counsel, and proactive claim resolution within authority.

You will review policies across states, draft coverage letters, and work toward obtaining necessary adjusting licenses within six months.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor required with 5+ years of legal experience; 2+ years in claims handling preferred.
• Active adjuster license or plan to obtain within six months.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Interpret coverage and collaborate with outside counsel to resolve claims within designated authority.
• Analyze liability and damages exposure; draft coverage position letters and strategy for resolution.
• Determine probable loss exposure; establish reserves and maintain claim files per policy and procedure.
