Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC - Public Risk Group seeks a Claims Attorney (Municipal Entities) to handle litigated and non-litigated claims arising under Auto and General Liability, with potential involvement in Law Enforcement, Public Officials and Employment Practices policies. In a fast-paced insurance environment, you will interpret coverage, work with outside counsel, and manage reserves with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• J.D. required for admission to practice law.
• Minimum five years of relevant legal experience; two+ years in claims handling preferred.
• Active adjuster’s license or a plan to obtain one within six months.

Responsibilities

• Interpret coverage and coordinate with outside counsel on claims within authority.
• Investigate, analyze liability and damages, and draft coverage position letters.
• Maintain claims files, determine probable loss and establish reserves; report to senior management.
