Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC - Public Risk Group is seeking a self-motivated Claims Attorney to join the Casualty Claims team. You will handle litigated and non-litigated claims arising under Auto, General Liability, and related policies, with potential exposure to Law Enforcement, Public Officials, and Employment Practices.

This role involves developing coverage letters, coordinating with outside counsel, and reporting to a senior manager while building expertise in a fast-paced insurance environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) required.
• Minimum five years of relevant legal experience; two+ years in claims handling preferred.
• Active Adjuster’s License or plan to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Interpret coverage and collaborate with outside counsel to resolve claims within authority.
• Determine probable loss exposure, establish reserves, and maintain claim files per policy and procedure.
