Tokio Marine HCC - Public Risk Group is seeking a self-motivated Claims Attorney to join the Casualty Claims team. The role focuses on interpreting coverage and working with outside counsel to resolve litigated and non-litigated claims in multiple jurisdictions.

You will gain exposure to Auto and General Liability and related policies, with opportunities for licensing, independent drafting of coverage letters, and career growth within a fast-paced insurance environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. required to practice law and handle claims in this role.
• Active Adjuster’s License within six months (or commitment to obtain).
• Minimum five years of relevant legal experience, with two+ years in claims handling preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Interpret coverage and collaborate with outside counsel to analyze and resolve claims within authority.
• Investigate, analyze liability and damages exposure, and draft coverage position letters.
• Develop strategies for resolution of litigated and non-litigated claims; maintain claim files per policy and procedure.
• Determine probable loss exposure and establish reserves; report to senior management.
