Tokio Marine HCC - Public Risk Group is seeking a self-motivated Claims Attorney to handle litigated and non-litigated claims arising under Auto, General Liability, and related lines in various jurisdictions. This remote/hybrid role offers exposure to governmental entities and evolving insurance products within a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Juris Doctor, 5+ years of legal experience, and an active adjuster license (or commitment to obtain within six months).

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) required.
• Active Adjuster license or commitment to obtain within six months.
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience; claims handling preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• This role interprets coverage, collaborates with outside counsel, and analyzes and resolves claims within authority.
• Investigates liability and damages exposure, drafts coverage position letters, and develops resolution strategies for litigated and non-litigated claims.
• Determines probable loss exposure, establishes reserves, and maintains claim files per policy and procedure.
