Job summary

Tokio Marine HCC - Public Risk Group is seeking a self-motivated Claims Attorney to join our Casualty Claims team. The role handles litigated and non-litigated Auto and General Liability claims across multiple jurisdictions, with potential work in Law Enforcement, Public Officials, and Employment Practices liability policies.

You will interpret coverage, coordinate with outside counsel, assess reserves, and draft coverage letters while developing expertise in a fast-paced, growing insurer.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required.
• Minimum five (5) years of legal experience, with two-plus (2+) years in claims handling preferred.
• Active Adjuster’s License or plan to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Interpret coverage and work with outside counsel to resolve claims.
• Investigate, analyze liability and damages; draft coverage position letters.
• Establish reserves and maintain claim files in compliance with policy and procedures.
