Symetra is seeking a Claims Consultant to serve as the primary support resource for service teams, brokers, clients, and internal partners in the small to mid-sized market. You will resolve routine questions, provide clear updates, and guide claims decisions while coordinating with underwriting, sales, and leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of claims, insurance operations, customer service, or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for claims-related inquiries from service teams, field partners, brokers, and clients.
• Research and provide accurate, timely claims information using claims systems and portals.
• Resolve routine claims questions independently to minimize examiner engagement.
• Translate complex claims information into clear, customer-friendly communication.
• Participate in client meetings, stewardship reviews, and broker discussions to address questions.
• Provide claims expertise, guidance, and recommendations to clients and partners.
