Job summary

Symetra Financial Corporation is seeking a Claims Consultant to serve as the primary claims support resource for service teams, brokers, and clients in the US remote environment. You will manage multiple accounts, provide timely updates, and resolve routine questions to minimize examiner involvement.

This role requires strong claims knowledge, excellent communication, and a proven ability to handle high-volume inquiries.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of claims, insurance operations, or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for claims inquiries from service teams, field partners, brokers, and clients.
• Research and provide accurate, timely claims information using claims systems and portals.
• Resolve routine claims questions independently to reduce examiner involvement.
• Translate complex claims information into clear, customer-friendly communication.
• Support client meetings, stewardship reviews, and broker/field partner discussions to address questions.
