Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill is seeking a civil engineering intern for the Community Development group in New Haven, CT. The 12-week paid summer program offers hands-on design experience on real client projects, working with senior engineers in a collaborative team setting.

The internship runs full-time Monday through Friday with flexible/remote work opportunities. The successful candidate will gain exposure to site design projects, permitting, and construction administration, while expanding their CAD and MS

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on site design and land development
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Proficiency with MS Office programs
• Prior experience with CAD software preferred
• Ability to perform field work and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic site and drainage designs
• Implement Sustainable Site design principles
• Assist with the preparation of local, state & federal permit applications
• Provide construction administration support
• Execute design-related computer programs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, and Synchro
