Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill, Inc. is seeking a civil engineering intern to assist design teams on site design projects in Hartford, CT. This 12-week paid summer internship offers hands-on experience with our Community Development group, under guidance from senior engineers.

The role is full-time Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to learn AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and related tools while contributing to real client projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on site design and land development.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Proficiency with MS Office programs.
• Prior experience with CAD software preferred.
• Ability to perform field work.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic site and drainage designs
• Implement Sustainable Site design principles
• Assist with the preparation of local, state & federal permit applications
• Provide construction administration support
• Execute design-related computer programs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, and Synchro
