Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill, Inc. in Hartford, CT is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for the Community Development group. The role involves assisting design teams on site design projects and gaining hands-on experience through a 12-week paid summer internship.

You will work with professionals in a collaborative team environment, performing basic site and drainage designs, and utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Hybrid work arrangement available with in-office and remote week portions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on site design and land development
• 3.0 GPA or higher
• Proficiency with MS Office programs
• Prior experience with CAD software preferred
• Ability to perform field work
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. of equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform basic site and drainage designs
• Implement Sustainable Site design principles
• Assist with the preparation of local, state & federal permit applications
• Provide construction administration support
• Execute design-related computer programs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, and Synchro
