Job summary

Fuss & O’Neill in Hartford, CT is seeking a civil engineering intern to assist design teams on site design projects within the Community Development group. This 12-week paid summer internship offers real client projects and a collaborative environment.

The role is full-time Monday through Friday with flexible scheduling and opportunities for learning through software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and Synchro.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on site design and land development.
• GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency with MS Office; CAD software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic site and drainage designs.
• Implement Sustainable Site design principles.
• Assist with the preparation of local, state & federal permit applications.
• Provide construction administration support.
• Execute design‑related computer programs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, StormCAD, and Synchro
