Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Expert (LL6) in the United States to lead global suspension system reliability and verification methods. You will drive testing strategies, align reliability targets, and ensure design inputs align with CAE verification.

The role requires a BS Engineering and 10 years in chassis development, with hands-on test, data analysis, and mentoring across regions. Occasional travel to assembly plants is expected.

Qualifications

• BS-Engineering required.
• 10 years of experience in chassis systems and architecture development.
• Extensive system and component engineering design & release experience.
• Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA/SCCAF/Control Plans/ drawings-GD&T.
• Experience with problem solving tools – 8D, 5 why, Six Sigma, etc.
• Required leadership skills - quality focused, excellent communicator, strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead suspension system reliability demonstration and testing.
• Ensure best in world quality from initial vehicle quality through high time in service.
• Define and meet reliability targets for vehicle to end item functions.
• Develop and execute vehicle, system, and lab testing to exercise noise factors and failures.
• Coach, mentor, and train Suspension D&R engineers globally.
• Signoff responsibility before Chief Signoff and ensure proper program checks.
• Collaborate with system durability verification and connected vehicle data.
