Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Expert (LL6) in Vehicle Hardware Engineering to lead global suspension system reliability and verification methods. The role focuses on driving durability testing, DFMEA/PFMEA alignment, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure top-quality systems from design through field performance.

The position requires a BS in Engineering, 10 years in chassis development, and strong problem-solving and Six Sigma skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• 10 years of experience in chassis systems and architecture development.
• Extensive experience with DFMEA/PFMEA/SCCAF/Control Plans and drawings-GD&T.
• Experience with problem solving tools – 8D, 5 Why, Six Sigma, etc.
• Experience analyzing CAE outputs and physical test results for durability.

Responsibilities

• Lead suspension reliability demonstrations and testing.
• Ensure best in world quality from initial vehicle quality through high time in service.
• Align reliability targets for the 90th percentile use case with end item classifications.
• Oversee testing across vehicle, system, and lab environments to prove durability.
• Develop data-driven test methods and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Ford Pro and platform engineering.
• Coach and mentor global Suspension D&R engineers and sign off on system milestones.
