Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Technical Expert (LL6) to lead global suspension system reliability and verification methods. The role requires 10 years of chassis experience and hands-on testing, data analysis, and DFMEA/PFMEA leadership.

You will drive reliability targets, guide cross-functional teams, and connect test methods to design inputs and CAE verification. Occasional travel to global chassis centers is expected.

Qualifications

• BS-Engineering required.
• 10 years of experience in chassis systems and architecture development.
• Extensive system and component engineering design & release experience.
• Experience with DFMEA/PFMEA/SCCAF/Control Plans/ drawings-GD&T.
• Experience with problem solving tools – 8D, 5 why, Six Sigma, etc.
• Experience analyzing output from CAE and physical test methods – vehicle, system, and component.

Responsibilities

• Lead reliability demonstration for suspension systems and ensure world-class quality from development to service.
• Develop and align reliability targets for end-item cascades across vehicle levels.
• Create and execute vehicle, system, and lab tests to cover noise factors and failure modes.
• Analyze data to support test method development and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with global teams and suppliers to connect test methods to design inputs and CAE verifications.
