Job summary

The Medical College of Wisconsin seeks a Charge Capture Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of charge capture staff across MCP, CSG and CP. You will monitor workflow, delegate work, and address issues in collaboration with the Charge Capture Manager and physicians.

The role is primarily remote with occasional on-site presence. You will mentor staff, ensure training, supervise 26 to 35+ direct reports, and drive process improvements in the revenue cycle using Epic PB Resolute and other

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree; education may be substituted.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in charge capture or revenue cycle.
• Certified coder (CPC, CCS-P) and/or RHIT/RHIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and supervise daily charge capture operations for MCP, CSG and CP. Investigate and resolve issues with physicians and staff.
• Provide coverage and support to the Charge Capture Manager for MCP, CSG and CP.
• Act as a leader/mentor to Supervisor I leader team.
• Act as the Epic PB Resolute expert resource for charge capture and related revenue cycle issues.
• Develop or revise operational protocols to improve lag time, quality, and quantity of work.
• Recruitment and onboarding of new charge capture staff, promotions recommendations, and corrective actions.
• Monitor changes in healthcare regulations to ensure compliance of charge capture processes.
• Coach and mentor staff; ensure ongoing training and performance reviews.
