Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Channel Presales Technical Architect in the New York area who will act as a trusted technical advisor to channel partners. The role is designated remote/teleworker, primarily working from home, with significant travel within the greater New York region.

You will collaborate with partner sellers and engineers on live opportunities, design and deliver HPE storage solutions, and help partners develop long-term capability to lead with HPE on their own.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of technical presales experience with a major storage vendor or storage-focused channel partner.
• Hands-on expertise in pitching, demoing and architecting complex storage solutions.
• Knowledge of virtualization, including VMware or KVM-based environments, and at least two application stacks (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or SAP).
• Hands-on working knowledge of at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud); certifications preferred.
• Expertise across the full data lifecycle: block, file, backup, ransomware protection and related solutions.
• Deep competitive knowledge of at least one major storage vendor.
• Experience in at least one major vertical (financial services, manufacturing or healthcare) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner technical advocacy and enablement by building relationships and becoming the go-to resource for HPE storage.
• Deliver presentations and demos that tie HPE capabilities to business outcomes for partners and customers.
• Support solution configurations and PoCs to meet partner and customer requirements.
• Develop competitive strategies with partners to win against competing vendors.
• Collaborate with partner teams to generate and progress storage opportunities and manage pipeline.
