Job summary

MarketStar is seeking a Business Development Manager for remote work servicing the Chicago, IL area. You will drive reseller awareness, generate quotes, and manage an opportunity pipeline to help account managers close deals.

You will educate resellers on products, respond to pre-sales questions, and collaborate with Inside sales and manufacturers to sustain demand. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous channel sales experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree, or business-related work experience.
• Experience conducting small group presentations or training.
• Solid understanding of distribution and the ability to learn quickly.
• Time management and organization skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive product awareness to reseller account managers and increase quotes and logos.
• Translate client value proposition into written and oral communications.
• Engage customers, qualify opportunities, and apply value propositions to buyers.
• Align with Inside sales to drive demand and set sales appointments.
• Develop outbound lead cadence with outreach activities like huddles and open houses.
• Coordinate with Manufacturers to drive demand and appointments.
• Build and maintain influential relationships with client contacts.
• Educate resellers; respond to pre-sales product questions.
• Schedule and conduct meetings with resellers and maintain calendar.
• Provide frontline sales support and answer questions.
• Generate and maintain pipeline; assist in closing deals.
• Follow up on quotes and opportunities with pricing and business planning.
• Develop training content and educate representatives on products and promotions.
