You will code diagnoses and procedures for inpatient and outpatient services, stay current with Medicare rules, and collaborate with physicians to improve documentation and coding accuracy. This role requires AAPC/AHIMA certification and at least two years of experience in a teaching environment.

Qualifications

• Active coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
• Two years of medical coding experience in a teaching/healthcare environment.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Familiarity with Medicare and Teaching Physician Rules.
• Experience coding physician professional services in teaching settings.

Responsibilities

• Accurately code diagnoses and procedure codes for outpatient and inpatient services.
• Maintain current knowledge of coding standards and regulations through continuing education.
• Collaborate with team and educate physicians to ensure proper documentation for coding accuracy.
