Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a remote full-time Certified Coder II - E/M to abstract data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360, and to code diagnoses and procedures per ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines. The role ensures compliance with government and payer coding rules across various medical records.

The ideal candidate holds a coding certification (AAPC or AHIMA) and has at least 1 year of outpatient E/M or multidisciplinary coding experience, with familiarity in Surgical Records and E/M

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of outpatient multidisciplinary coding or Provider E/M coding experience.
• At least one coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding guidelines.
• Familiarity with Surgical Records and Evaluation & Management Encounters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Abstract data from medical records to create detailed case summaries
• Identify and code diagnoses and procedures, including primary and secondary diagnoses
• Ensure compliance with government and payer coding procedures for various medical records
