Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time Maryland Certified Professional Coder to manage diagnostic and procedure coding for surgical services while working remotely. You will research HCPCS Level II codes, support coding staff, and help develop coding and documentation guidelines in collaboration with clinical and non-clinical teams.

Requirements include 5+ years in healthcare, 4+ years coding with compliance knowledge, an Associates degree or RHIT, CPC/CCS-P certification, and a high school

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in a healthcare setting with proficiency in medical terminology.
• Four+ years of coding experience and knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Associates degree in health administration or RHIT certification, or two years of related experience.
• Certified Professional Coder or Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based certification.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Research and assign HCPCS Level II codes for ambulatory surgical services and professional services.
• Provide support to coding staff by resolving complex cases and contributing to coding education materials.
• Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to develop coding and documentation guidelines.
