Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a full-time Washington Certified Medical Coder to review medical records, extract data and apply appropriate codes for billing and compliance. The role operates remotely with occasional onsite onboarding, enabling collaboration with clinical staff to resolve coding issues and feedback to providers.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma (associate's degree preferred), and certifications such as RHIT, CCS, RHIA, CPC, or CCA.

Qualifications

• Proficient in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT coding and modifiers.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and payer regulations.
• Familiarity with EPIC EHR is desirable and beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Extract and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, Modifiers, and HCPCS codes per coding guidelines.
• Code and abstract records to ensure compliance with documentation and payer regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve coding issues and provide feedback to providers.
