Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare Inc. is seeking a part-time, fully remote patient scheduling specialist to pre-register patients for appointments and procedures and complete related administrative tasks.

You will transcribe external orders from physicians and handle high call volumes across multiple locations and departments. This PRN position requires strong computer skills, ability to input data accurately, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 4 years revenue cycle experience.
• Minimum 2 years of revenue cycle experience and/or 2 years of contact center experience.
• Strong computer and data entry skills; able to work with multiple systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and pre-register patients for appointments and procedures.
• Transcribe external orders from physicians.
• Handle high call volumes across locations and departments.
• Input patient data accurately into the system.
• Validate patient insurance and explain benefits as needed.
• Manage multiple phone calls and transfers between parties.
• Mentor new hires as needed.
• Promote Intermountain Health values and service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
