Zusammenfassung

Ear Nose & Throat Associates (ENTA) is seeking a Central Orders Specialist to process diagnostic test scheduling for patients. You will review orders for accuracy, generate requisitions, and coordinate internal ENTA testing with the Authorizations team.

The role requires experience in a medical office, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Training is provided, with potential for remote work after completion of training.

Qualifikationen

• High School education or GED equivalent.
• Minimum one year of medical office experience preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to use a computer with Microsoft Word, Outlook and EMR software.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to attend work regularly.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Aufgaben

• Receives and responds to tasks created in the EMR system for the Central Orders team.
• Reviews orders for accuracy prior to processing.
• Generates and sends external order requisitions and supporting clinicals from the EMR to EHRfax; electronically faxes to external facilities within 24 hours of ordering.
• Coordinates and schedules internal ENTA testing orders.
• Facilitates sending scheduled internal ENTA testing orders to the Authorizations team.
• Ensures follow up appointments are scheduled when indicated by the physician.
• Communicates with physicians regarding orders as needed.
• Documents in the EMR any pertinent patient communications.
