Job summary

Premier Truck Rental (PTR) seeks a Contract Driver to safely transport fleet across the United States, complying with DOT regulations and delivering excellent customer service. This remote position requires a valid Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsement, at least 2 years of CMV experience, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Role involves pre-trip/post-trip inspections, proper cargo securing, and maintaining logs and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsement.
• At least 2 years of experience driving a CMV.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum age 21 years is required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform loading/unloading.
• Willingness to work overnights and weekends.
• DOT Physical and Medical Card required.
• Clean MVR and Driver History Report.
• Knowledge of proper loading and securing techniques.
• Willingness to assist with loading/unloading as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CMV and comply with traffic laws and road conditions.
• Maintain DOT logbooks and comply with DOT guidelines and drug/alcohol screenings.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to PTR customers.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
• Keep vehicles clean and report needed maintenance.
• Complete all required paperwork in the vehicle.
• Secure cargo per regulations and ensure transport safety.
• Ensure equipment is up-to-date and in good working condition (less than 3 years).
