Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking aRemote/Full-time CDI Program Supervisor to lead the Clinical Documentation Integrity program across Health Ministries. You will oversee Clinical Documentation Specialists and the CDI Coordinator, ensuring timely, compliant documentation and proper DRG assignments.

You’ll mentor CDS staff, monitor performance, and collaborate with clinicians, coding, quality, and denials teams to improve data quality and reimbursement outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare related field or Nursing or equivalent in experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of current hospital clinical documentation integrity program experience.
• Two (2) or more years of current experience supervising hospital clinical documentation integrity program.
• Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, coding guidelines and DRG reimbursement.
• Working knowledge of 3M CDI Software; Epic EMR preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the CDI team (onsite and remote).
• Schedule and staffing for CDS and CDI Coordinator; manage time off and staffing changes.
• Coordinate with Clinicians, Coding, Quality and Denials teams to ensure accurate documentation and DRG assignment.
• Provide training and education to CDS staff and monitor quality and productivity.
• Support policy development, data collection and performance improvement initiatives.
