University Hospitals in the United States is seeking a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Analyst to educate, train, and support CDI Specialists in accurate medical record documentation, with a focus on coding rules and quality outcomes. This role is remote.

You will conduct post-discharge reviews, coordinate with coders, mentor staff, and lead education initiatives. Requires CDI experience, clinical knowledge, and professional certifications; RN or RHIA/RHIT with CCDS/CDIP on hire; sign-on

Qualifications

• 3+ years CDI experience as a concurrent reviewer.
• RN or RHIA/RHIT with CCDS/CDIP on hire.
• Strong knowledge of clinical documentation and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform post-discharge, final coded, pre-bill reviews for accuracy and DRG assignment.
• Query physicians when documentation is incomplete and ensure timely responses.
• Coordinate with coders and CDI leadership on opportunities and education.
• Mentor CDI team, share best practices, and support quality initiatives.
• Lead education initiatives and optimize CDI templates and workflows.
