Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years inpatient records coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient records using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT-4 and encoder.
• Ensure accurate DRG assignment according to UHDDS and AHIMA guidelines.
• Review records to identify diagnoses and procedures for coding.
• Verify data and abstract required data into the system.
• Maintain department competencies and participate in performance improvement.
