Job summary

Talentoma is seeking a Product Data Associate to help maintain accurate product attributes, categories, and catalog notes. This fully remote, desk-based role supports the product management and product operations teams in Virginia, with a 40-hour weekly commitment.

You will collaborate with product managers, merchandising colleagues, and ecommerce operations to resolve missing or inconsistent information. You will review data requests, verify attributes against source information, and register

Qualifications

• Clear written communication for asking focused questions, explaining discrepancies, and leaving update notes for colleagues.
• Ability to follow documented instructions, handle routine updates carefully, and seek guidance when outside procedures.
• Willingness to learn named systems through guided practice and feedback.
• Understanding of basic product information concepts, including categories, variants, and consistent naming conventions.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming product data requests through a shared task queue, checking priorities and supporting information.
• Compare product attributes against approved source information and flag missing or conflicting details.
• Enter approved updates in a product information management system such as Akeneo.
• Assign existing product categories and attribute values following classification guidance.
• Check related product variants for naming and attribute consistency before submission.
• Track requests in a project management tool such as Asana and note progress.
