CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Casualty Evaluator for remote work with occasional in-state travel. You will own auto liability cases, determine coverage, negotiate settlements under $50,000, and handle both first- and third-party claims across states, including Colorado.

You'll work in a virtual environment, communicating in writing and by phone, prioritizing investigations, subrogation potential, and timely resolution while upholding AAA policies and regulatory requirements.

Formación

• High school diploma or a combination of education and 2+ directly relevant work experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience
• 2 years of claims experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Strong ability to work independently.
• Strong decision making ability.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Basic math and computer skills and ability to type 30 wpm.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language.
• Ability to function in a team environment.
• Ability to successfully complete training courses pertinent to job duties.
• Developing understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Developing understanding of AAA claims policies and procedures preferred.
• Ability to travel on rare occasions.
• Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Working in a virtual environment (with option to work in an office setting).
• Manage communications in writing, by telephone and by electronic means (e.g., e-mail).
• Owning/Adjuster when injury exposure is identified.
• Handle mostly simple to moderate 1st and 3rd party auto liability cases involving injury with unrepresented and attorney-represented claimants.
• May handle 1st party Medical payment and PIP.
• Assist in catastrophes-related activities including simple homeowner losses.
• Responsible for handling, managing, investigating, negotiating, settling and/or resolving injury claims with exposure valued less than $50,000.
• Adjuster to manage productivity by seeking claim assignments through queues in the claim system.
• Triage is self-managed and not automated in the claims system.
• Making coverage determinations and advising customers as to proper course of action related to coverage issues.
• Conducting investigative work of a complex nature (interviewing witnesses; obtaining and analyzing evidence; deciding whether an independent medical examination is warranted; etc.).
• On rare occasions, may require representing the insured and/or the company at settlement conferences.
• On rare occasions, may require appearing at and representing the insureds at arbitrations and trials.
• On rare occasions, may require testimony in a deposition setting.
• Evaluating potential for subrogation and initiating initial notice of subrogation request.
• Making final decisions to settle within settlement authority, without supervisory approval, and developing negotiating strategies.
• Presenting cases in Committee setting when seeking above settlement authority level; thereafter, independently negotiating and settling the claim.
