Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Casualty Evaluator for remote work nationwide, with Colorado telework as the base. You will own auto injury claims up to $50,000, handle 1st/3rd party liability, and support Small Claims through resolution in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities include investigating, negotiating settlements, making coverage determinations, and potentially representing parties at conferences, arbitrations, or trials. Occasional travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ directly relevant work experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience.
• 2 years of claims experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Proficiency in written and verbal English and customer service orientation.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended hours or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Handle ownership of auto casualty cases with exposure under $50,000.
• Manage simple to moderate 1st and 3rd party liability claims with and without attorney representation.
• Conduct investigations, negotiate settlements, and make coverage determinations.
• Communicate with claimants by writing, phone, and email; work in a virtual environment.
• Assist in catastrophe-related activities and subrogation where appropriate.
• May represent the insured or company at settlement conferences, arbitrations, or trials.
