Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Casualty Evaluator for a remote role supporting multiple states with homeowner and auto liability claims. You will own simple to moderate first- and third-party cases, investigate and negotiate settlements, and handle coverage questions in a flexible, remote-first environment.

The position emphasizes independent work, strong communication, and adherence to regulatory requirements, with occasional travel and extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ relevant work experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience.
• 2 years of claims experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Strong ability to work independently.
• Strong decision making ability.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Work in a virtual environment with option to work in an office setting.
• Manage communications by writing, by telephone and by email.
• Handle 1st and 3rd party auto liability claims with exposure under $50,000.
• Investigate, negotiate and settle injury claims within authority.
• Assist in catastrophe related activities when needed.
• Make coverage determinations and advise customers on actions.
• Present cases in committee and negotiate settlements as needed.
