Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Casualty Evaluator for a remote role with Home Teleworkers across multiple states. You will own and adjust cases with exposure up to $50,000, handling 1st and 3rd party auto liability claims and occasional 1st party Medical Payment/PIP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 2+ directly relevant work experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience.
• 2 years of claims experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Proficiency with basic math and computer skills; ability to type 30 wpm.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Handle mostly simple to moderate 1st and 3rd party auto liability claims involving injury with unrepresented or attorney-represented claimants.
• Manage investigations, negotiations and settlements with settlement authority up to $50,000.
• Work in a virtual environment with option to work from an office setting.
• Provide coverage determinations and advise on proper actions related to coverage issues.
• Triage and manage claim assignments via designated queues in the claims system.
• May support catastrophes and small claims to conclusion; may represent insureds at settlement conferences/arbitrations/depositions on rare occasions.
