Qualifications

• High school diploma or a combination of education and 2+ directly relevant work experience.
• BA/BS in business, insurance or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 years of related professional experience.
• 2 years of claims experience.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and good command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Working in a virtual environment (with option to work in an office setting).
• Manage communications in writing, by telephone and by email.
• Own claims when injury exposure is identified.
• Handle mostly simple to moderate 1st and 3rd party auto liability cases.
• May handle 1st party Medical payment and PIP.
• Assist in catastrophes related activities including simple homeowner losses.
• Handle injury claims with exposure valued less than $50,000.
• Negotiate and settle claims within settlement authority.
• Present cases for higher settlement authority when needed.
