Job summary

This role requires standing for long shifts and collaborating with teammates to ensure smooth operations in a remote camp setting. Responsibilities include cooking assistance, cleaning, stocking, and occasional additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• At least one year of work experience in a commercial kitchen or vocational training showing knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and general cleaning processes.
• Must have or obtain an Alaska Food Workers Card and/or ServSafe Certification upon hire.
• Pre-employment requirements may include drug test, physical and fit-for-duty assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks and coordinate activities within a food service area.
• Prepare food and cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc.
• Maintain stocked service areas and organize storage and equipment.
• Clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans and sanitize dining and kitchen spaces.
• Clean, sweep and wipe down all dining, kitchen and storage areas; assist with large cleaning projects.
• Set up and break down tables, snack bars and serving lines; report any safety concerns.
