Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc. seeks Call Center Representatives (Communication Assistants) for its TRS Call Centers. This remote role in Texas offers the chance to help Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals communicate with hearing parties.

Position supports full- and part-time schedules with an hourly wage of $14. Training is online; residency in Texas is required for this role.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Typing speed of 60 words per minute with high accuracy.
• Ability to relay calls between Deaf/HH and hearing people.
• Strong reading and transcription to text skills.
• Comfort with complex computer communication software.

Aufgaben

• Accept and place relay calls for consumers.
• Ensure high quality customer service for all users.
• Hear audio and transcribe to text on a computer.
• Read aloud messages and relay messages clearly.
• Translate ASL messages to conversational English.
• Convey emotions through voice inflection during calls.
• Relay call content accurately and maintain confidentiality.
