Job summary

Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc. in Texas seeks a Call Center Representative (Communication Assistant) for remote work. You will relay calls between Deaf and hearing customers, with training provided in a four-week virtual program starting November 30, 2026.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to hear using audio equipment.
• Able to speak clearly, pronounce complex words, and read aloud text.
• Fast and accurate typing with strong grammar and spelling.
• Willingness to learn and use computer communication software.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Accept and place relay calls for consumers.
• Maintain high quality service for all users.
• Hear, transcribe, and relay audio via computer.
• Read aloud device-user messages and translate ASL to English.
• Maintain TRS quality standards for accuracy and speed.
• Report technical issues and protect confidentiality.
