Job summary

Communication Service for the Deaf (CSD) in Minnesota is seeking Call Center Representatives (Communication Assistants) to support the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community via TRS relay calls from a home office. The role emphasizes accuracy, compassion, and clear communication, with no sales quotas involved.

Upcoming training starts November 30, 2026 (4 weeks, virtual). Positions offered as full-time and part-time; residency in Minnesota required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass essential skills assessment.
• Typing at 60 words per minute with 95% accuracy.
• Varied schedules including weekdays, weekends, overnights and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Accept and place relay calls for consumers.
• Ensure high quality service for all consumers.
• Hear audio and transcribe to text on a computer.
• Read aloud messages and transcribe responses.
• Translate written ASL to English.
