Job summary

InteLogix is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR functions with primary focus in California and remote candidates nationwide. This role involves employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, and compliance across multiple states.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, 5+ years of HR experience, and proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office. Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP) is preferred, with salary varying by state and location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
• 5+ years of HR generalist experience supporting California employees, including CA wage/hour rules, CFRA/PDL leave, PAGA exposure, and California compliance.
• Knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including compensation, org diagnostics, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal/state employment laws.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with HRIS systems.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer HR plans and procedures; help develop policies; maintain employee handbook and policies.
• Participate in setting department goals and systems.
• Conduct new employee orientations; write and update job descriptions.
• Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement, and exit interviews.
• Attend administrative staff meetings and other seminars.
• Maintain HR information system records and generate reports.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
• Support performance management processes including disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
• Conduct HR investigations and provide recommendations.
