Job summary

Anovia is seeking an independent contractor to join a mission-critical call handling platform development team on a fixed-term through Q1 2027. The role focuses on migrating 32-bit C++ subsystems to 64-bit and updating the Linux environment from CentOS 7 to RHEL 9, with collaboration across an established engineering team.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with strong Linux expertise, capable of working independently per a defined migration plan, and able to communicate clearly while driving

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing C++ applications on Linux platforms.
• 5+ years of experience in Linux OS development and bash scripting.
• Strong English communication and ability to collaborate with an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Migrate 32-bit C++ subsystems to 64-bit architecture.
• Develop scripts to migrate CentOS 7 to RHEL 9.
• Support modernization of Java-based web configurators.
• Participate in testing and release of the migrated system.
• Update CI/CD pipelines to support migration.
• Perform security tests and remediation.
