A technology consulting firm is seeking an Integration Engineer with strong Linux experience for a contract role in St. Paul, MN. Overview

Job Title: Integration Engineer | C++ | Linux

Location: St. Paul, MN | onsite

Duration: 6 months + high potential to extend

Pay: $60 - $75 per hour*

The posted range represents the standard compensation for this position; however, we are open to offering a higher rate for candidates with extensive experience that exceed the minimum requirements for the role.

What you’ll do

• Support system integration between legacy and modern Data Acquisition and Control platforms
• Enable data interoperability by replicating legacy front-end functionality in the new system (Labview and C++)
• Leverage DDS to transport data across systems and ensure seamless communication
• Troubleshoot and optimize network traffic and bandwidth usage for data transfer
• Assist with future upgrades of Red Hat Linux from v7 to v9/10
• Work independently to resolve system compatibility issues between platforms

What you’ll bring to the role

• Strong Linux experience (Red Hat 7 preferred; other distributions acceptable)
• Data integration or migration experience (not hardware-related)
• Familiarity with network traffic and bandwidth utilization
• Ability to work with and troubleshoot complex legacy environments
• Experience with DDS (Data Distribution Service) preferred
• C++ and/or Labview experience preferred
• Background in system emulation or data replication projects preferred
