Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems seeks a Software Engineer to lead the Redhat Linux migration of a specialized C/C++-based software suite used for precision time-synchronized data acquisition.

The role encompasses design, programming, testing, and documentation, onsite in Tukwila, Washington, with collaboration across engineering teams and a focus on Linux, Redhat migration, and software architecture improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C, C++, Python, Qt, Git, TCP/UDP, and tcpdump.
• Experience with Linux is required.
• U.S. Person for Export Compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, test, and implement computing applications.
• Write and compile code and construct database objects based on documented design.
• Analyze information to determine architecture specifications and parameters for software compatibility.
• Modify or upgrade applications to maintain software functionality.
• Identify and resolve programming or application architecture problems.
• Review system performance and recommend improvements.
• Assist in the migration of a custom software suite from SUSE Linux to Redhat Linux.
