Qualifications

• 3–7 years in business development or related commercial roles in technical B2B markets.
• Proven ability to open new accounts and reactivate dormant opportunities.
• Strong outbound prospecting and relationship-building across multiple channels.
• CRM discipline with clean, complete records and defined next steps.
• Experience coordinating with marketing, inside sales, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Research and engage prospects across non-defence markets like marine science and energy.
• Build a prioritized target portfolio combining warm and cold leads.
• Reactivate quotes, inquiries, and former customers to determine next actions.
• Initiate outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn, conferences, and visits.
• Develop measurable qualified pipeline and new-logo revenue against targets.
• Triaging leads and qualifying opportunities using MEDDPIC or similar methods.
• Progress opportunities from contact to quotation and first order.
