Job summary

Journey is seeking a remote Carrier Sales Specialist in the United States to source and onboard bulk carriers. You will attach carriers to available freight from day one and build dedicated lanes pairing customers’ freight to optimize load movement.

You should have brokerage carrier sales experience, knowledge of bulk liquids and hazmat, and a proven ability to act quickly with minimal training. The role offers a base salary of $85K plus 2–3% commission on gross profit, paid from day one.

Qualifications

• Experience in brokerage carrier sales booking bulk loads and building a bulk carrier base.
• Familiar with bulk chemical liquids and hazmat; food grade bulk is a plus.
• Knowledge of shipper quality and safety steps: hose checks, PPE, shipper apps.
• Self-starter who can produce quickly without a formal training program.

Responsibilities

• Source and onboard bulk carriers, growing the active base from 6 to 7 today to 25, then 50, then 100.
• On the phones, attach carriers to available freight from day one.
• Build dedicated lanes and round trips that pair one customer’s freight with another’s.
• Take over bulk loads ops books today, with 30 to 40 loads ready to move to your desk at start.
