Atlas Global Talent is seeking an experienced Carrier Sales Representative to build specialist bulk carrier networks across the United States. This fully remote role focuses on sourcing capacity for dry bulk, liquid bulk and other specialist freight, negotiating rates and ensuring profitable, compliant transport.
Join an established logistics operation that values industry knowledge and carrier relationships, with clear career progression in bulk transportation.
My client is an established asset-based transportation and logistics provider with a specialist bulk transportation and freight brokerage operation, looking to appoint an experienced Carrier Sales Representative to support its continued growth across the United States. This is a fully remote position focused on developing carrier relationships, securing specialist transportation capacity and supporting the movement of bulk freight across a variety of industries.
Unlike traditional carrier sales positions focused primarily on general dry van or standard truckload freight, this opportunity is specifically focused on bulk transportation, where equipment knowledge, carrier relationships and an understanding of specialist freight requirements are essential.
My client is interested in speaking with professionals who have developed experience across dry bulk, liquid bulk, tanker, pneumatic, agricultural, chemical or other specialist bulk transportation markets.
With a base salary of $70,000 to $110,000, this is an opportunity to apply your specialist transportation knowledge within an established logistics business while working remotely from anywhere in the United States.
As a Carrier Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for sourcing, developing and managing carrier capacity across the bulk transportation market.
You’ll work directly with specialist carriers, negotiating rates, identifying suitable equipment and ensuring transportation requirements are met efficiently and profitably.
This position requires someone who understands the complexities of bulk transportation, including equipment specifications, commodity compatibility, loading and unloading requirements, safety standards and carrier qualifications.
You’ll work closely with internal operations, customer service and commercial teams to ensure reliable capacity is available and shipments are executed successfully.
A key part of the role will be developing long-term relationships with specialist carriers, improving procurement efficiency and strengthening the wider bulk transportation network.
My client is particularly interested in individuals who already understand the commercial and operational requirements of bulk transportation.
Ideally, you’ll bring:
Candidates with an established network of specialist bulk carriers and a proven history of securing reliable capacity will be particularly attractive.
My client is open to candidates with experience across a broad range of bulk transportation sectors.
Relevant backgrounds may include:
Experience across multiple bulk transportation modes would be advantageous, although candidates with strong expertise in one particular area will also be considered.
The priority is finding individuals who genuinely understand specialist bulk transportation and have established relationships with carriers operating within these markets.
Bulk transportation requires a different approach to carrier procurement than general freight brokerage.
The type of commodity being transported, equipment specifications, loading and unloading procedures, cleaning requirements and relevant safety regulations all influence carrier selection.
Successful carrier sales professionals in this market understand how to identify suitable capacity, assess carrier capabilities and negotiate commercially competitive solutions without compromising service or compliance.
My client is looking for someone who can bring that knowledge into an established transportation operation and help develop a stronger, more dependable specialist carrier network.
Whether your experience has been predominantly within dry bulk, liquid tanker, food-grade transportation or industrial bulk freight, the business is interested in understanding how your knowledge and carrier relationships could contribute to its continued growth.
One of the key benefits of this opportunity is the wider transportation infrastructure supporting the brokerage operation.
My client combines an established asset-based transportation business with specialist third-party carrier capabilities, providing access to operational knowledge, transportation resources and an existing customer base.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop relationships across specialist transportation markets while working alongside teams that understand the complexities of bulk freight.
Rather than operating within a general brokerage environment where specialist freight is treated as an occasional requirement, you’ll be working within a business where bulk transportation forms an important part of the wider operation.
For an experienced carrier sales professional who has built their career within bulk transportation, this opportunity offers the chance to focus on a market where specialist knowledge and established relationships are genuinely valuable.
You’ll have the freedom to work remotely while being supported by an established transportation organisation with experience across specialist freight markets.
The position offers exposure to a broad range of bulk transportation requirements, allowing you to utilise your existing carrier relationships while continuing to expand your network.
With a base salary of $70,000 to $110,000, this could be an attractive next step for someone looking to continue developing their career within bulk carrier sales.
