NewSchools Venture Fund, a nationally recognized nonprofit venture philanthropy, seeks a Manager, Budget and Reporting to lead organization-wide budgeting, financial reporting, procurement, and due diligence on investments. The role reports to the Director of Finance and is remote anywhere in the United States, with up to 10% travel for meetings and conferences.

You will partner with investment, development, and senior leadership teams to translate strategy into multi-year financial plans,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in FP&A, budgeting, or financial management.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and financial systems (Sage Intacct, Salesforce, Bill.com).
• Experience translating financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
• Understanding nonprofit accounting (GAAP) and 501(c)(3) compliance preferred.
• Travel up to 10% for in-person meetings and conferences.

Responsabilités

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across the organization.
• Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts and scenario analyses for strategic decisions.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly budget vs. actual analyses and lead reviews with budget owners.
• Provide financial reporting packages and support due diligence on investments.
• Improve budgeting and reporting processes through automation and standardization.
• Oversee procurement, contracts and payment workflows; ensure accuracy and controls.
